Western Asiatic Achaemenid Cylinder Seal with Hero Scene 6th-4th century BC. A tubular glass cylinder seal with intaglio design of a robed and crowned hero tackling a rampant lion with a knife in one hand, behind him a bearded and long-haired figure brandishes a comb(?"). Property of a North West London gentleman; formerly with a central London gallery in 1990. Very fine condition. Extremely rare in glass.
