WESTERN ASIATIC OLD BABYLONIAN CYLINDER SEAL WITH FIGURES 1900-1700 BC

A carved steatite cylinder seal with figural scene of a goddess in a flounced robe facing a robed male with smaller figure between and hand-and-forearm above, small winged figure below a solar disc, ankh symbol and three columns of cuneiform text. 10 grams, 24mm (1").

Condition Fine condition, usage wear.

Provenance Property of a London gentleman; acquired on the London market in 1979.
