A baked clay rectangular tablet with cuneiform script to both sides; accompanied by an original old scholarly note, hand written and unsigned by W.G. Lambert, late Professor of Assyriology, University of Birmingham, 1970-1993, which states: 'Lower left hand portion of a Old Akkadian administrative document, c. 2400-2200 BC'. 122 grams, 95mm (3 3/4").

Condition Very fine condition.

Provenance Property of a London gentleman; part of his family collection since the 1970s; accompanied by an original hand written note by Professor W.G. Lambert.
