
WESTERN ASIATIC CYLINDER SEAL FOR SIN-ASHARED, SON OF ILI-SUTRABI

A banded marble cylinder seal engraved with a standing figure in long robes and hat, hands raised in prayer; in the centre three lines of cuneiform text; to the left hand side a deity wearing a kilt and cap with behind a goat with two standards coming from the back; accompanied by a typed scholarly note which states: '{d} Sin-a-sza-re-ed ? / dumu i3-li2-su3-ut-ra-bi / arad2 dingir-{d}mar-tu; Sin-ashered / son of Ili-sutrabi / servant of Ilum-Martu'; accompanied by a museum quality seal impression. 12 grams 28mm (1 1/4").
